UT Engagement Session

My surprise… if you haven’t figured it out… is our second engagement session at UT on the field at Neyland Stadium. I managed to finagle (don’t ask how) it for Jonathon. It was just us and the power T and the 50 yard line and Lane Kiffin for awhile.

Did you know you could hula hoop through the crosswalk at UT?

T minus 5 days

I'm pretty excited. Yesterday, I confirmed that Jonathon and I could go and take photos at our second engagement location. That is the surprise part. I know I promised a surprise like ages ago, but I had to wait until the right time. The time is this weekend. We are going on Friday to take our second set of engagement pictures. I’m terribly excited. Even though we are just shooting with a couple of friends to save money, it’s still going to be great just because of the location. So, this weekend (Sunday) at the earliest and next week at the latest you will get the surprise. I can’t wait.

My surprise for you was also a surprise for Jonathon. I really wanted to get him something special that would be a lasting memory more than just a material possession. It’s something nice for him. I can’t wait to show you!

Engagement Session One

Tie to share my engagement session one. I really wasn’t found of this session. I really am more excited about the second session in April. And the third session sometime in the fall at our old Alma Mater. I’m really excited about those. Although, I may skip the Alma Mater engagement pics for a fashion shoot there post wedding. We shall see.

This was our first session at our venue. There were some great pictures though. These are my favorites.

Exciting News

I got exciting news on 2 fronts today. I have a special place where Jonathon and I are going to get some VERY special engagement pictures taken. I'm not sure when yet. Jonathon and I have to talk about when we can get to TN to do, but I promise to show you pictures as soon as we get them done.

Two, I gave the final approval for the design of our invitations from Peculiar Pair. They are so stunning. Have I mentioned that I love Mary Beth? Have I mentioned you should go call them right now and order your invitations? Go. What are you waiting on?!?! Go order your beautiful invitations now!

Engagement Teaser

This is one of my favorite pictures from our engagement session. It really reflects Jonathon and I.

We got our disk of photos back from our photographer. I haven't went through it fully, but I went looking for this photo in specific for this purpose. This photo kind of lies. I had to stand on a chair and crouch to get to this level. It was kind of humorous.

Engagement Photos: Not mine!

I wanted to share with you an image from my friend Autumn's engagement session.. or rather sessions. She did all her own photos with her friends. She is not only stunning in this image, but it's so creative and pretty.

I was also excited to see her use the library as a place to shoot photos. Jonathon and I used the library as well. I am somewhat envious of this picture though. Maybe I should have Autumn take my camera and take some shots of J Rock and I around T Dub's campus.

This is not to say I do not love my engagement pictures. I do. I just really love this one. Lol.

Home Sweet Home

We are back home from our trip to see our parents and J Rock's trip to ATL. It has been a busy wedding week. And a busy week period. My boy is sick today. He got a wicked virus yesterday. So I'm munching on airborne and playing nurse. But let me tell you about my week.

My mom (love her!) found a typewriter (for free!) for me for our STDS. So, the first morning I was home, I cracked it open and started to work. The work was slow and repetitive. But fun. I have a small, fairly precise area to work with. I am about halfway done and I now have it down to a science. I just need to find the envelopes to type out the addresses.

Then, Natasha (my MOH) and I went shopping for fun wedding things. It started with a trip to get wedding shoes. I found some adorable Steven by Steve Madden shoes. They were fuschia with a dragon fly rhinestone. It just wasn't what I was looking for though. So, the search continues for shoes. But we went to Hobby Lobby where I did luck out. I bought some new gold stamp ink. But I found a wonderful stamp that looks like the postage paid stamp from Paris in 1949. And one for our thank you post cards (which we already have) that says merci!. I'm so happy with those. I also found 35 gold Christmas tree balls of all sizes for $10 and some other gold, ivory and orange balls. Lovely.

On Tuesday, my wonderful engagement photographer worked through the night (Monday) so that our pictures were ready. I'll have this disk this week and will regale you with my favorites. I'm pretty excited.

It was a productive week, even though I forgot to write down the two Dj's numbers so that I could call them and I was sans internet for a week. I got a bunch done.
